Meet Lily! / りりたす

9月11日にぷりたす（ローズマリー）のひとりっ子が無事に誕生しました。
出産前に撮った胎数確認の時から、今度はひとりっ子だというのがわかっていたので、何としても無事に出産させなければと…

Rosemary delivered her singleton on Sep. 11th. We were sure from the x-ray result that this time she was holding only one baby and and have to let her become a mom...

ぷりたすは、今年の1月に初めての二頭出産したのですが、赤ちゃん達の体重は十分にあったにもかかわらず早産だったため亡くしてしまった経緯があります。その時のぷりたすの落胆ぶりを考えると、同じ哀しみを味合わせることはできませんでした。
産気づいて、まず最初に見えたのは片足と尻尾。迷わず助産して、無事に誕生してくれたのがりりたすです。

In beginning of this January, Rosemary delivered 2 babies by a reasonable weight but it was early than her due date and lost both. Her grief was very deep and I could not let it happen again.

So when her delivery started, I assisted and there came out Lily.

素晴らしいお母さんぶりを発揮して、おかげで最初の一週間はりりたすの体重を測るのも半ば命がけでした。わが家では、普通は朝晩の二回体重を測るのですが…　リリたすの場合は、もう夜一回だけの体重測定。写真もほとんど撮らせてもらえず、目が開いて、歩き始めてからようやく写真を撮らせてもらう許可が下りた次第ですw

Rosemary was so much in love with her new healthy baby from the very first moment. She switched herself to a very perfect mom. She avoided us to weigh her baby and for a week we only could scale her once in a day. She was ruling everything about her baby so we decided to let her take all the responsibility. Decided never regret or blame her of raising her baby just by her own style.
(Was a bit quite tough decision but she moved the nursing place 3 times in the first 2 days by carrying Lily by neck and we though that is much more risky...)

And after Lily's eyes were open, finally Rosemary gave us permission! LOL

ひとりっ子なので、体重の増えかたも立派！w
生後27日目で現在526g。女の子としては立派です、というか、男の子なみw

Lily is now 27days old and weighs 526g. Heavy as a boy I think... That must be a good part as being a singleton! LOL

耳も分厚く、垂れ下がっているので…たぶん大きな耳になるはず…
とにかく、このまま元気に育って欲しいです。

Her ears are think and will have a big ears as her mom and dad ... I hope...
But it is still time to hope her to continue growing healthy.

パパのジェイク譲りの明るいブラウンの色が顔に入っています。
ぷりたすの世界は、今はこの子を中心に回っているようです。　
体力も付いてきて、時折小走りで走るりりたすにちょっと振り回されて来た感もありますが、そんな中でもすごく上手に息抜きをしてくれて、子育てが初めてとは思えないぷりたす。
りりたすのお披露目は、年明けになりますが、このままわが家に残ってもらうつもりです。

Her coat color is brown and has a warm brown color as her father Jake.

Rosemary's world is all based on this little singleton now.  And these days she is sometimes facing this little one's resistance.
We are very happy with Lily and Rosemary sharing their precious moment together. Rosemary is also very good in taking break and that may be the reason she is so good mom.

ぷりたすが子供を呼ぶ時の声がちょっとユニークです。喉をゴロゴロ鳴らすのではなく、唸るような声を出します。少なくともわが家では初めてのタイプw

Above is the video of Rosemary and Lily. It's quite funny to hear Rosemary almost growling instead of purring. LOL She is our first unique mom whom does this instead of purring...

TICA's 2016/17 Official Standings has been finally released.

We are so happy to announce that our Rosemary has become 23rd Best Cat in Asia Region.
The year 2016/2017 was really a tough year for us and this sweet girl.
There were always very nice competitors at the show and for a MC girl to be finalized.

Rosemary is the very last offspring of our Judith.
Judith hated the show and attended the Champion class only once. But her daughter was different from her mother.  Rosemary loved the show and was enjoying it quite a lot.  I think this performer spirit comes from he father and grand mother.

Rosemary's father is our Popokilani Albert and grand mother is Popokilani Cindy. Both liked the show and especially Cindy was really an actress on the Judging table.

Any way, we had a great year.

We had Maria from Cattery Canon and she earned the SGC title.
We placed our red boy Dreamer to MC Garden in Taiwan and he became RW again.  Another red boy, Major Tom to Cattery Hareruyah in Japan and he became RW SGC also.
Our Popokilani Herbert did the stud service with Shonancats Ruby Star of Yamazakura in Japan and their daughter became RW in Kitten class. (Now she is QGC)

Another exciting news was the the blue boy, the litter mate of Rosemary, became CFA GC.  Many thanks to Cattery Cavalino.  Indigo Blue is now CFA GC and also RW in Kitten Class.

Addition to above, Rosemary's mom achieved the title of OD. Judith had no title but her offspring had gave her a crown and this didn't had happened if the owners did not show her offsprings.

We had lots of fun and memories to share and to thank.  

We really would like to say congratulations to all the winners and also to the attendants, kittens, cats and their owners.

Cattery update / キャッテリーの近況

ご無沙汰しています。

ぷりたす、この度短い期間ですが母になりました。
最低四日早い早産のため、二匹の母親になりながらも二日半という短い期間でぷりたすの子供は空に帰ってしまいました。

自分ですべての処理をして、助かったのは一匹だけでした。
二日半、慈しんで育て、われわれもお手伝いしましたが留まってもらうことは叶いませんでした。

普通はこのようなお知らせは掲載しないのですが、子猫たちがごくごく短い期間ではありますが確かにこの世に生を受けたこと、初めて母になったぷりたすが如何に子供を愛したか…　何よりも、子猫を探す彼女を見ていて揺れるわたしの気持ちを整理するために、今回のご報告をさせていただくことにしました。

母になったぷりたすに起きた変化があります。
気が強くてツンデレだった彼女が、今は他の色々なメンバーに甘えるようになりました。
ぷりたすがライバル視（？）していたさつまにも甘えるように…
わずかな時間といえども母になったことときっと関係があるのだと思います。

出産後すぐと、本日と、ぷりを連れて健康状態のチエックにかかりつけの獣医さんに行ってきました。幸いにも母体の方は至って健康とのことでした。

生命の脆さ、輝き…　今はまだ色々な思いが去来し、交錯しています。

とりあえず、ぷりたすは元気にしています。
ぷりたすの無事の出産を願って下さった方々、未熟児に関し色々なアドバイスや応援を下さった方々。　ぷりたすと子供たちに代わり、厚く御礼申し上げます。
