さて、わが家でトーマスと呼ばれていた男の子が、先週無事に北海道の新しいお家に引っ越しました。
引っ越す朝までの最後の3日間、彼はわが家のリビングでゆったりとした日々を過ごしていました。
われわれが家にいる時間は、父親であるラファエルとも同じ部屋に居て、久しぶりの父子の対面。
でも、女の子達の匂いがコートに付いているせいか、叔父のエドにはストーキングされたりしていましたが。
ちょっとだけだけど、”大人の男の世界”に足を踏み入れた、そんな感じの毎日だったようです。
でも、体は大きいけれどまだまだ5ヶ月にも満たない子。
のんびりと、穏やかな、優しい赤ちゃん。
そんな彼もとうとう新しい世界に足を踏み出しました。
当日は、高速が混んで飛行機に乗り遅れるといけないので、朝の04：30に自宅を出発。
仮名トーマス君をキャリーに入れるのには一苦労になるかと思いきや、驚くことに自分からさっさか入ってくれて。
車の中でもいたって静か。
空港には、チェックイン予定時刻の一時間前に着いてしまいました。
出発ロービー前の道路で、そのまま一時間ほど爆睡してから、トーマス君と相方は飛行機に乗って行ってしまいました。
私はそのまま襲い来る睡魔の力に勝てず、同じ場所で再び2時間ぐらい寝てしまいました。
お天気もよく、あまり寒さを感じさせない朝。
彼の新しい門出にはうれしい陽気でした。
無事千歳空港に付いて、そこから電車で移動。
新しいママとコーギーのエマお姉さんが待つお家に無事に到着。
ワン姉さんにびっくりしたり、ママにべたべたに甘えたりしている毎日を送っているようです。
どの子もそうですが、新しいお家に行くということは、未知の世界に足を踏み入れること。
好奇心と不安と、楽しみと、いろいろなものが一度に降ってくる感覚なのではないでしょうか？
人間と犬と、そして猫の新しい同居生活が早く素敵なものになることを願ってやみません。
でも、安心できることがひとつ。
それは、トーマス君を新しいママとワン姉さんに直接紹介できたこと。
ママとワン姉さん、とても素敵な一人と一匹だったとのことです。
優しくて暖かい二人に迎えられて、トーマス君は無事にトム君になりました。
引っ越して3日目にはすでにママに頭突きをして甘えたえり、ママがお家に帰ってくるとすごく喜んでくれるとのこと。
お留守番もできるけれど、それ以上に大好きな人と一緒に居る時間が好き。
当分、トム君にとってはママが彼の世界。
エマちゃんと仲良しになるのもそう遠くない気がします。
だって、主人曰く「エマちゃんも気立ての良いお姉さん」とのこと。
トム君、素敵な家族にめぐり合えてよかったね！
いっぱい、幸せになるんだぞ！

The kitten we used to call Thomas moved to the new family in Hokkaido (north part of Japan) last Saturday.
Before moving he was with his farther Raphael few hours everyday.
I do not know if both recognized the other as a “son” or “dad”.
But maybe the girl’s smells were on his coat, Edward kept stalking Thomas.
Anyway he made the debut to the “World of grown up guys”.
He is big, but only 5 months old and still really a baby.
A sweat, calm and gentle baby now has stepped into a larger world.
Considering the traffic jam, we left our place at 04:30 in the morning.
And arrived to the airport at 06:30, which was too early
We were thinking that Thomas will refuse and fight to be put into the carry, but he himself slipped into it
Quiet during the drive he was and even was sleeping.
The weather was really good and it looked like even the sky was cerebrating his new adventure.
With my husband ex. Thomas, now already Tom, reached to Chitose Airport.
Then they took a train and visited the new family.
There, Tom met his new mom and new sister Eri, Corgi female dog.
It was his first time to see a dog in his life, really must be a close encounter.
It may take some time to know each other.
But we believe 3 of them should succeed building a good relationship.
Only 5 days has passed and Tom seems to be enjoying his new life.

Who can sleep like this if the one is feeling lonely or isolated?
So innocent, so pure, sleeping defenseless.
There is nothing more to explain how he is feeling.
He is sleeping with the same face and the same pose, seems to be relaxed as he was at our place.
