8/25、26日は東日本橋で開催されたＥＣＣのキャットショーに泊りがけで行ってきました。
今回の主役は、プンプン・プリンセスのリーボック（正式名：レベッカ）。
リーボックがショーに参加するのはキツンクラスの時も含め2回目。
彼女のショー参加は全く予定外のものでした。
そもそもの発端は、8月の中旬の頃のこと。
仕事から帰って皆に挨拶をしている時にふとカッパを見たら・・・首の後ろに500円玉を二周りほど大きくした“ハゲ”ができていましたorz
朝出かける前には何ともなかったのですが、昼間猫達だけの時にアルターの子が彼女の首を咥えたらしく・・・
綺麗なハゲが出来ていました。
8月の終わりにはカッパをアメリカのショーに参加させる予定で、手続きも全て完了していたところに起きた、笑えるようで笑えない事件。
カッパはアメリカ、アリスをECCのショーに出す予定のシナリオは書き換えを余技なくされました。
もともと、アメリカに誰を連れて行くのかに関しては候補が二頭おり、二頭共に狂犬病の予防接種等を済ませてはいたのですが。
わが家のカッパか、Aman Groupから来たアリスか。
結局月齢が上のカッパを連れて行くことにしたのですが、この事件で主役交代。
そして、玉突きでリーボックがECCのショーに参加することになりました。
リーボックは体の大きなブラウン・トービーの女の子で、カッパの姉妹。
いいものを持っていると思うのですが、母親の血を濃厚に受け継いだのか、かなりのプンプン姫です。（もっとも母親であるジュディスは出産を経て今では穏やかな性格になっていますが）
正直そのリーボックをショーに出すかどうかでかなり迷いました。
リーボックの兄弟姉妹には、カッパをはじめ、武士道やお友達のブリーダーさん宅に引っ越したフレイヤちゃんがいます。
この5匹の兄弟姉妹のうち、リーボックは早くからわが家に残そうと決めていました。
結果、新しいご家族を探そうと考えていた子達に比重が行き、リーボックとは今ひとつ遊ぶ時間が少なかった気がします。
寂しかったかもしれない分を少しでも取り返せればと思い、「ホテルに泊まってのショー参加もありかも」ということで参加に踏み切りました。
ショー初日。
またもえんどうは自治会の用事でスタートから参加できず。
午前はリーボックとわたしの二人っきり。
MCは全部で8頭。
久しぶりにメインクーンが多数揃いました。 男子5頭、女子3頭。
以前はあまり見かけなかったレッド系のカラーも、今では常連の色となりつつあります。
1リング目は、多少機嫌が悪かったものの何とかこなしたのですが、続く2リング目からはわたしでは扱いきれないほど怒ってしまい、午前の4リング中3リングはアブセント（棄権）しました。
猫の怒っている時の声は、喧嘩と同じで、他の出陳猫達をびっくりさせたり、怯えさせてしまいます。
また、怒っている本人も辛いだけ。 ホテルを予約していなければ即行帰っていました。
一分、一秒がこれほど長く感じられたのは久しぶりでした。
お昼近くになり、えんどうが現れたと時には、ほとんど『地獄に仏』の気分でした。
彼の出現をこれほど喜んだのも久しぶりのような気がします（笑）
午後の部からはえんどうがリーボックを審査に連れ出してくれ、結局は棄権することなく全て参加。
相変わらず怒っており、見る側としてはずっとドキドキのままでしたが。
おまけに、鶴岡ジャッジのリングでファイナルに残り、AB6位に入りました。
プンプン・プリンセスはチャンピオンのタイトルを手に入れました。
そして、17:00頃ショーが終わって会場から車で5分ほどのホテルに移動。
ホテルの部屋ではリーボックは実に穏やかな時間を過ごしていました。
穏やかで、いっぱい甘えてくるリーボックを撫でながら、明日のショーはどうなるのだろうと。
明日のショーもさることながら、家に帰ったらもっともっと可愛がろう！と、あらためて思いながら寝入ってしまいました。
会場が目と鼻の先ということで、ショー二日目の朝はゆっくりしたスタートでした。
この日も合計8リング。 MCの顔ぶれは前日よりも3頭少ない5頭。
うち、3頭は男の子。 でも男子、女子の区別無く皆素晴らしいMCでした。
昨日よりほんの少しましな状態のリーボックは、何とか全てのリングに参加。
頭数がギリギリなので、一頭でも減るとファイナルに残れる猫の数も変わるので、とにかく参加するだけ参加しました。
周りへの迷惑と、リーボックの気持ちとを考えると・・・ 複雑すぎる思いでしたが・・・
この2日間のショーは、誰かの一匹勝ちというパターンではなく、評価が均等に分かれていて面白かったです。
どの子も素晴らしいので、その中の何を特別に選ぶかというところで順位が変わったのだと思います。
久しぶりに嫌な汗をいっぱいかいたショーでしたが、凄くうれしいことが2つ。
ひとつはリーボックがチャンピオンになってこと（こんなコンディションではあまり考えられないことです、正直）
それから、もう一頭の女の子もチャンピオンになったことと、並み居る男子軍団の中で、女子のチャンピオンが二匹も誕生したこと。
リーボックには、本当に大変な2日間だったと思います。
次の心配ごとは、リーボックが無事にお母さんになるかどうか。
なんせ、彼女のパンチは強いので・・・
リーボック本当にお疲れさま。
ホテルで一緒にいっぱい遊んだことが一番の思い出。
そして、一泊の不在で寂しい思いをさせて面々、ごめんね。
もっともシンデイはアインと二匹っきりで、彼女だけは幸せだったようです（笑）
On 25th and 26th, we took aka Reebok (Rebecca) to the TICA & ECC Show.
This was her second time including the kitten class show.
This was not the original plan and she was one of the unlucky one to be chosen.
The origin of this was Kappa being “bald”.
It happened one day in middle of August.
In the morning I left home for work and came back in the night.
I was talking to the cats as usual and Kappa also came out to see me. Something was wrong with her coat around her back neck was strange. I walked towards her and there I saw light round pink circle!
One of the neutered boys tried to date her and bit her back neck… Luckily she was not injured but her coat was gone about an inch across.
We were planning to take her to the TICA Annual show in Columbus, Ohio!
Every necessary thing were prepared and we had to redo it again…
Our original plan was to take Kappa to US and Alice, our black tortie girl to the ECC Show.
Who to take to the US was a big issue from the beginning. Kappa or Alice? We could not easily make decision and had both have rabies.
And finally came to a conclusion to take Kappa for she was 2 months older.
Now we are going to take Alice to US and had to find out who can attend the ECC show.
The only available one was Reebok.
Reebok is a quite big brown torbie girl who sometimes mistaken as a boy. She is the littermate to Kappa and Reebok.
I think she has something attractive but is also a quite aggressive girl.
May be quite similar to her mother (her mother became quite soft after she delivered her babies)
Personally I was wondering about showing Reebock. I was quite sure that she does not like the show.
She had a quite different personality comparing to Kappa and Bushido who are her litter mates. One of the reasons is may be that we decided to keep her from the quite beginning and was paying our attention much more to others whom we were thinking of finding new homes.
Staying at the hotel for night only with her may be we can make up a bit for her. This idea of my husband sounded not so bad and finally made our decision to take her to the show.
First day of the show, Yasuyuki had another appointment and could not join from the beginning.
It was only her and me. She was in a bad mood.
25 cats and 8 were the MC. 5 boys 3 girls.
What is called rare color in Japan, red tone has becoming quite popular these days and one red silver boy was also attending for the 1st day.
Reebok did bared for the 1st ring. But from the 2nd ring she became angry and I gave up showing her for the half day.
In the noon time, Yasuyuki finally arrived at the show hall.
He was a godsend to me in my distress!
From the afternoon, he carried her in and out from the cage quite smoothly, but no change with Reebok..
But she won the final and became TICA Champion at Ms. Tsuruoka’s ring.
Finally the “Princess of Anger” won her title.
The first day closed aroud 17:00. We move to the hotel only about 5 minitues from the show hall by car. There Reebok looked very happy playing with us and sleeping a lot.
She kept on purring and was sticking to us all night. I promised myself to look after her more after we get back and fell in sleep.
Because of the show hall being so close to the hotel, 2nd day started really slowly.
Total ring for the 2nd day were also 8. MC members decreased and were only 5, 3 boys and 2 girls.
All were really wonderful and no one could tell who may fin a lot for the day.
There were totally only 24 cats so if we don’t show our girl, the final goes to only 8 cats instead of 9. So using this as an excuse, we kept showing her. But was a bit night mare for me of her being angry, angry not so much as yesterday,
This times show was quite interesting 3 boys were equal to each other. There was no one who only win.
Attending this time's show, there were 2 memorable things I think I will keep in mind for a long time.
One was of course our “Princess of Anger” won even in such a bad mood.
Another one was the silver girl also became the Champion by wining the AB4th!
All the boys were big and strong enough, but even though she won and also became a Champion!
It is often said that for MC, to be “Size” is also an important issue to consider. For this, it is quite difficult for girls to win. So for that I was very happy to welcome another MC girl wining the title.
I am sure our Reebok had a tough 2 days. But now she is totally free from Show.
The next thing I am worrying is can she become mother? I really hope that the boys in our cattery won’t walk away from her. Her punch is quite strong… lol
Thank you for your time Reebok. It was really fun playing with you at the hotel room, even you and us were sleeping a lot!
And sorry for leaving the house for full night, I knew you most of you guys were missing us.
The only happy person was I think Cindy. She is now happy if Ein is with her. lol
