Alice in Forever Home 3 / 幸せの国のアリス 3

 

アリスがわが家を巣立ってから、早３年近く。　今年の12月で９歳になります。
食が細くなった以外は、元気に暮らしているとのこと。

It's almost 3 years since Alice graduated out home. She is going to be 9 years old by this December. Doesn't eat so much in the evening but still eats well in the morning. It's just because of her aging and was told by the vet that she is in good health. Very happy to know she is in good shape.

人間で言えば還暦に近い歳でしょうか？
今年は、赤いちゃんちゃんこと帽子を被ったら写真が届きました。
毛の色合いで凄く似合ってる！

In Japan, we celebrate one's 60th birthday (kanreki) and that person wares red vest (we call it "Chan-chanko" in Japanese) and hat.

She looks great! Have never imagined her to were some clothes! ;)

帽子の被り方が、なかなか粋ですね♪
わが家では、ファッショニスタは目指してくれなかったけど、今のご家族が素敵なアリスの一面を見せてくれました。

Her hat matches very well to her head! So cute! 
She never was a fashion icon in our house, but now looks like she's thinking to become a senior model! LOL

「おばあちゃんとは呼ばせない！」と言っているような顔のアリス。

キリリとした顔は歳を重ねても変わらないようです。

コロナ禍の今年、大変な時代になってしまいましたが、いつまでも元気に歳を重ねて行って欲しいです。小さいアリスは大きな幸せを手にして、今年もその素敵な姿を見せてくれています。

Looks like she is still having her own pride. Yes "Madam" Alice is still there!

The world is changing a lot with this Covid 19 pandemic. But I believe there are always some lights shining through, To me, Alice's these photos are one of them. May be only humans think and consider about the future... We should also think about "now". Especially like in these days. Feeling glad that I still can smile watching her photos.

Alice in Forever Home 2 / 幸せの国のアリス 2

まだまだ暑い日が続く、今日この頃。
「猫は液体？」と言う説の通り、わが家でも涼しい場所に”溶け猫”が転がっています（笑）

さて、そんな中、アリスのお家から新しい写真が届きました♪

今年の夏は暑い！そんなせいか、あるいは歳を重ねたせいか、暑い盛りには食欲が減退してしまったとのこと。でも、そんな季節も無事に乗り越えられて良かったです。一緒に暮らすご家族としては心配な季節だったと思います。

わが家ではもう置くことのなくなったソファに優雅に寝転んで、女王様的態度のアリス。気持ち良さそうでちょっと羨ましい... きっと、優雅に尻尾を揺らしていたのではないか、なんて考えてしまいました。

カメラの方を睨んでいるのでしょうか？　こんな表情を見ると、わが家でツンデレだった頃のアリスを思い出します。
変わらぬものと、変わったものとがあるとしたら、こんな表情は変わらぬものの一つなのでしょうね♪　12月には８歳になるアリス。　マダムのまだまだ元気な姿を見れて嬉しい限りです。

これから、少しづつ季節が変わって行くけれど、アリスとご家族様にはどうぞお体ご自愛の上、元気でお過ごしください。

Alice in Forever Home / 幸せの国のアリス

約一年ほど前にわが家から巣立って行ったアリスのパパが新しい写真を送って来てくださいました。
今年の12月で、彼女も７歳。シニアの仲間入りをする年齢になりますが、今も変わらずピカピカに輝いています。

Alice's family has sent us lots of new photo!
She is going to be 7 years old in Dec. Her age may be categorized as senior but still looks very young.

今のお家に引っ越す前に一回新しいお家に行ったのですが、ご家族の中で猫アレルギーを発症してしまった方がいて、1日で戻って来てしまった経緯がありました。
たった1日だけの外泊だったにも関わらず、戻って来たアリスの落ち込みようは迎えたわれわれも心を痛めるほどでした。
誰が悪いわけでもなく、色々なものをアリスのお迎えの為に準備してくださっていたご家族。ただただ、ご縁が無かったのだとつくづく感じたのを思い出しました。
このままわが家に居れば良い。他の子達と仲良くなりきれなくても、それもありだと思って暫くは元の生活に戻ってのんびりしていました。

She moved to her new family once but came back the very next day due to allergy of one of the humans. Even only a day away from us it was but it left her some trauma... She looked so depressed for few days and watching that was also a pain to us.
No body was bad,  just a bad luck for all. We still thank the family for preparing everything for her. 
She can stay with us as long as she wants. No need to have strong bond with other members if she doesn't want too... We were thinking like that.

しばらくして、昨年の今頃新たな出会いがありアリスは引っ越して行きました。
今までの事情をお話し、猫同士べったりした関係は好まない子だと。アリスの性格を伝える私の話をしっかりと聴き、お迎えを決意してくださったご家族には、改めてお礼申し上げます。

写真の一枚一枚から今アリスが最高に幸せなのだと言うことを、つくづく感じます。

アリスの写真をいっぱい送って来てくださり、本当にありがとうございます。
アリス、本当に輝けるお家を見つけて良かったね！

どうぞ、これからもアリスをよろしくお願いします。

And time past and about a year ago, the current family came to meet her.
We explained what has happened to her and she is different from the ordinary image of MC. We really thank for listening to her story carefully and welcomed her.

From each photo we can see how happy she is now.

Alice has retired / アリス、引退しました・・・

先週の日曜日に避妊手術を受けたアリス。
あれから1週間、手術の経過も良好で無事に術後服から解放されました。

一回だけお母さんになったくれて。
産まれた子供達は全員男の子。
レッドの兄弟は賢匡（としまさ）君、寛将（ひろまさ）君、となり静岡に、ブラック＆ホワイトの男の子は心晴（こはる）君となり山梨で暮らしています。
残るひとりの子はケビンと言い、わが家でのんびりとしています。

小柄な体ですが、見事お母さんとなって素晴らしい子育てをしてくれたアリス。
まだまだ若いけれど、一足早く引退。
現役時代は気の強さで周りの女の子達から恐れられていたためか、猫の世界ではひとりぼっちの感がありました。
避妊したことで、心持ち気の強さは減ったようですが、今までの経緯から他の子達は寄っていきません。
そんな中、アリスに寄って行き、挨拶をしたのがさつま。
上の写真のように、自分より大きな体の若いさつまに甘えるアリス。

本当にうれしい写真です。
これでアリスも気を張っている必要が少しは無くなればと思います。
一日の大半は、人間より仲間といる時間が多いのだから。

アリス、いろいろありがとう。
そしてお疲れさまでした。

Last Sunday, Alice retired from our breeding group.
Now a week has past and every thing seems to be OK.

She delivered only one litter.
Her kittens were all boys.
Black & white boy became Koharu and is now living in Yamanashi.
2 red classic boys became Toshimasa and Hiromasa and are living in Shizuoka with 3 elder MC.
And one boy, Kevin, is living with us.

Alice is a quite small girl but her delivery was really smooth.
She also was a perfect mom.
Has a really strong personality and other girls were looking a bit afraid of her.
She was a lonely wolf type girl.
Now she is becoming a bit friendly but the others are still keeping distance...

Many thanks to Alice for becoming a wonderful mother.
Now you can have your own life. Enjoy your life more. Always love you...

Alice's kittens / アリスの子供達

アリスとアインシュタインの子供達が、2月12日に誕生しました。

レッド2匹、ブラック＆ホワイト一匹にブラウン＆ホワイト。

久々のソックス履きさん。

ブラック＆ホワイトはわが家では初めてです。

おっぱいをあげるアリスの誇らしげな顔。

母親の偉大さを感じさせます。

Alice delivered  Einstein's babies, "Chocolate" litter on Feb. 12th.
They are growing very well.

2 reds, one black & white and one brown & white.
All eyes are now opened and are growing very well.

It is always nice to see mom showing the proudness of raising their children.

Alice in Wonderland

I took a bit longer holiday this time and visited Columbus, Ohio with some friend and TICA Director/Judge Hisae Tasaki.

Propose for this trip was to see the TICA Annual Show which more than 400 cats/kittens are going to participate!

To meet the people again whom I received their favor in this May, attend the show with our cat and have photo session of Helmi Flick and Tetsu Yamazaki… So many ideas were propose of this 5 nights/7days trip.

For me, this were the very first cat show to attend outside of Japan and were so excited to go just like a little child waiting to go to the picnic.

As Yasuyuki had to take our AMAN GROUP Alice of POPOKILANI, he took the different flight.

Alice is a Black Torttie & White Girl, whom just became 8 months old.

Annual Show may be one of the highest qualified shows as IW and RW winners and also the cats/kittens on campaign are attending. “Participation is more important than
winning!” were this time’s theme for us.

Columbus Convention Center was the Show hall.

About 10 times or more large than the usual hall we have shows in Tokyo Japan.

There were 12 rings, back to back style.
Total numbers of cats/kittens were 403. 123 kittens, Champion 90, Alter 59, etc.

Even if we have brought our RW cats with the best at time, I was not sure if they made the finals. The level of the show was that high.

Bengal is the largest registered breed in TICA and it is more than 6,000. Next comes the MC and approx 2,600. I think this is one of the reasons why there were so many Short Haris.

Total numbers of the Championship MC were 14. And some were the 2011-2012 IW/RW holders. 4 were the girls and only one of them, the silver girl was chosen for BOB.

One of the Brown boys was the Pajocoons Theobromine of  Chemicoons. He seems to grow 2 sizes larger than the time I met him in this May.

Meeting Theo and Liz again was a great time.  I even met Theo’s Junior Exhibitor Zach, his brother Nathan and there mother.

And of course there were Susan Milburn with our Einstein’s younger sister.  She looked like Ein, having a nice boning and big beautiful eyes. She was wining 3 finals.

Well about the 4 girls in the Championship ring, a silver girl of  Whatatrill Silver Star was the only one selected for BOB. Janet B.'s proud girl she was!
Was a surprise to know that the Brown torbie girl was the very one who was attending KKCC show with Bushido!  She was in the kitten class last April, now turned into a beautiful MC. Her Mom Valerie M. noticed Yasuyuki!  What a happy reunion!

In Alter class, there I saw CascadeMtn Creme Brûlée of CoonAmor with Jan Horlick!  Jan is my best  “POKE” friend in FB.
Bru is a Cream boy who became 2 shows SGCM!  I knew them through the uploaded pics at FB and finally had a chance to meet them too. His color is also a minority one even in US, but wining so quickly means he has so many things to shown and to be evaluated. Also I would like to note that he has beautiful eyes which are more than a cat. I mean showing the wisdom and also telling others that he clearly have his own thoughts and ideas.

Additional to this thrilled feeling, I met Marie-Jean Statesman, the original mom of Pajocoons Cattery. This time Wim was not in US, but his sister was. Both were so nice and warm. It is always the best to see people face to face event the technology is developing. MJ told me how Pajocons Sunrise Dream has been doing these days. I am strongly looking forward to meet him and all the Pajocoons family members, of course TEALC and his sisters, his human parent this Autumn.　
I love Sunny as the way he is. He seems that has no interest about the show but love to sun bathing at his garden. Hope he likes the green tea fields in front of our house too.

Every time when I here that he is enjoining the sun and the open air of where he lives now, I think about of "The Story of Ferdinand" written by Muruno Leaf, illustrated by Robert Lawson.

In my younger days, this was one of my favorite book and till now.
Sunny must be a really tender, mild and peaceful boy.
Have the looks of Tealc, whom I adore for a long time.

Another main issue I have to write here is about Helmi and Ken Flick.

I knew both for the many cat fancier at the show in Japan were often talking about Helmi’s great work. She has not been to Japan for several years and thus I did not have a chance for the photo session. I heard about her also from Tetsu & Hiroko Yamazaki, who are the friends of them. To have her photo session was on the top of my whish list.

Yes I finally met her and she took pics of Alice.
I am so happy to have the beautiful pic of our Alice!

Alice Goes to Wonderland!

アリス、ワンダーランドに向けて明日出発です。

行き先は、アメリカのオハイオ州コロンバス。
そこで、TICAのアニュアルショーに参加してきます。

会場で写真家のヘルミさんにプロショットも撮っていただく予定です。
アインシュタインのブリーダーであるスーザンとブレヤー夫妻とその猫達にも会える予定です。
もちろん、リズとTheoにも！
FB等を通して知り合った方達にも会えると思います。

とにかく、楽しめるだけ楽しんで来たい！

でも一番大事なのは、無事に行って、無事に帰ってくること。
それが一番の使命だと思います。

それから、もう一つ。
大事なお友達であり、わが家にお迎えするサニーのお兄さんでもあるTEALCからのお願い事！
「COONKISS」(メインクーンからのキス）を届けなければ！

とにかく、行ってきます！

Alice goes to Wonderland!

Tomorrow we are leaving to Columbus, Ohio with Alice.
She is to attend the TICA Annual Cat Show there.

At the show she has a photo session with Helmi which we have made an appointment already!
We can meet Susan and Blair, whom are Einstein's human parents and thier cats.
Of course Liz and Theo！
And many more who I know through FB and others.

Hope my very first US show to be an enjoyable one!

To go there and comeback to Japan safely is the most important mission for us.
And another mission is to send the "COONKISS" from Tealc to the people he knows!!!

New Girl "Alice" / Aman Group Alice of Popokilani

2011年12月18日生まれのトーティー＆ホワイトの女の子がわが家にやって来ました。

アインシュタインのお迎え等でばたばたしていて、ご紹介が遅れましたが、滋賀のアマン・グル—プからはるばる茶畑までお輿入れしてくれました。

名前はアリス。
パパはイギリスから来た、TICA CH　LYNXELOT KEDEWATAN of Aman Group。

ママはオランダから来た、IS DA WA KARA of Aman Group。

This is our new member Aman Group Alice of Popokilani, Tortie & white girl.

She was born in Dec. 18th, 2011in Shiga, Japan.

Her Sire is TICA CH　LYNXELOT KEDEWATAN of Aman Group.

And Dam is IS DA WA KARA of Aman Group.

わが家では、初のカラーとなります。
人が大好きで、寝る時も傍にいて喉を盛大に鳴らして子守唄を唄ってくれています。
わが家に到着して物怖じすることもなく、すぐにキャリーから出て来て、あちらこちらを探検。

Her coat color is the very first one for us to have.

She loves to sit near the humans and purrs with a loud sound.

When she just arrived, she instantly came out of her carrier and stared to wonder the room.

他の女の子達とは微妙な距離を保ちながらも、部屋中を闊歩する毎日。
まだ生後5ヶ月ですが、自分をしっかりと持っているようです。

She still is keeping some kind of a distance from other girls, but enjoying her new world.
Only just 5 months old, she seems to have her own plans and customs.

アインの父猫はブラック・ソリッドなので、アリスが将来アインのお嫁さんになるとブラックも生まれる可能性があります。
また、PajocoonsのSunnyとは生まれた時期が二ヶ月ほどの差。　
もっともサニーが無事にわが家に到着する頃には双方年頃なので、さすがに一緒に遊ぶのは無理ですがカップルとして考えると楽しみです。
わが家に新しいメンバーが増えているので、今後が楽しみです！

Ein's sire is Black Solid so we may have a chance to have black kittens.
And Pajocoons Sunny is just only 2 months difference, so could be a nice couple too.
Any way this year we are full with new members!
